Kelso Conservation

We are GROWING!

A crazy Spring in 2017 flooded the beautiful Burlington Beach and closed our operations for a time. We decided this was the perfect time to EXPAND and spread the STAYCATION vibes a little wider. We hope you can join us at one of our new locations. Stay tuned for more announcements coming!

We are pleased to add KELSO CONSERVATION in Milton to one of our locations for LEARN to Stand up Paddle board classes, Mindful Paddles and SUPYoga classes and workshops!

Kelso has TONS of fun to offer all year round! Book a class with us and come early or stay late and enjoy all the park has to offer <3

The snow melts and Kelso Conservation Area transforms from a ski and snowboarding locale into a labyrinth of mountain biking and hiking trails. Cyclists love the variety of trails up and down on the escarpment. We have a smorgasbord of choice whether you’re a beginner or an old hand on a mountain bike. Sign up for the Mountain Bike series and test your skills against your peers.

If you’re after having a hiking trail to yourself, the Escarpment and Lime Kiln trails are strictly No Bikes Allowed. Visit the historic lime kilns–remnants from the Second World War. It’s a little history on your nature walk.

If you love the water, the reservoir is open for swimming (please note: water levels are lower than normal and swimming area has been moved in summer 2016) and boating in the summer. Try Stand Up Paddleboarding, or grab a friend for a peaceful canoe ride around the lake. The boardwalk is a great walk to navigate a stroller! Families and friends can book a picnic table by the lake for a day out in nature.

The little ones will love the Family Outdoor Movie Nights at Kelso in the summer. Put your pyjamas on, bring popcorn, and settle in for a family-friendly flick on an outdoor big screen. After the movie, rent a campsite for the evening, and watch nature’s big screen, the stars in the sky at night, while you chow down on gooey s’mores.

PLEASE NOTE ALL CLASSES HELD IN KELSO ARE SUBJECT TO $6.75 admission fee (adult) unless you have a seasons pass. We will be giving a $4 gift certificate per session booked that may be used towards any future bookings with us in the current season to help offset this for our first season at the park.
